Dry eye, as its name suggests, is an eye with poor lubrication. Its causes are often aging, a dry environment, air conditioning, fatigue, etc.

Typical symptoms include:

- Stinging, burning, or itching sensation

- Redness of the eyes

- Light sensitivity.

- The feeling that you have something in your eyes

How do we treat dry eye?

Easy to use using artificial tears like Optiben. They can be used as many times as needed throughout the day, although we recommend using them at least twice a day.

Can dry eyes be cured?

Unfortunately, there's still no cure for dry eye. When we suffer from it, we produce low-quality tears that don't provide sufficient lubrication. So, once dry eye is diagnosed, it's usually lifelong.

What happens if I don't use dry eye drops?

At the very least, we will suffer ocular inflammation that can lead to corneal abrasion, corneal ulcers, and vision problems with a consequent decrease in quality of life.

0.2% hyaluronic acid moisturizes and lubricates the eye, relieving irritation caused by dryness or external agents.

Advice from your apothecary:

• Do not touch your eye with the bottle to avoid any scratches or eye infection.
• Use within 3 months of opening the bottle.
• If you don't use the drops daily, you should use multi-dose Opitiben to avoid having to throw away the bottle after 3 months.
• Remember to apply drops when watching a movie or spending long hours in front of a screen to prevent dryness.
